Vijay Shrestha, a young rising painter and art teacher of the school, is a man behind the mission. He believes art is ones interpersonal talent and young students have responsibility to drive future. He painstakingly worked for four months to infuse supreme feeling and artistic taste of the aspiring artists. The budding artists have coloured the paintings with splendid enthusiasm. The exhibition comprises 101 mind refreshing and soul satisfying new inventive works of art rendered by 60 students. The works contain pencil colour paintings( 30), water colour paintings (20), acrylic (chemical painting) (15), oil paintings (15), collage (a picture made by sticking various materials or objects on a surface) (20), sculpture (1) etc. They embrace wide ranging topics encompassing various facts of life. They have demonstrated natural bent for the common place and some pictures of life bear but a distant likeness of reality. Some have captured the mood of the moment and expressed in own line of treatment. To name but a few "My Village, My pride, Boom of life, Innocent Eyes" embody simple philosophy and simple things bear great truths. "Showers of Blessing" is directed to mens noble prayer going upwards and Gods answer with the blessing coming downwards. In "Road to Destiny" a seemingly lost character is single mindedly heading to his destination being urged by the sense of duty. In "Lets move" there is reflection of reverence for divinity. In "Bondage of Love" there is unconscious but holy intimacy between the mother and child. One sculpture stands out and is worth a gem. They have radiated their confidence and creative self-expression which should be excelled in the best light in the days ahead. It seems that they intend to reveal their hidden talent brilliantly by applying brush and colour splashed over the canvas. There has been a broad scope for artistic excellence and touch of professional line characterised by natural skill and bubbling joy conclusively. It is exceptionally cherishable. Though the songs seem tragic, the soothing and soft music makes one feel very relaxed. And the powerful music also involves the listeners in the song, which makes them feel comfortable. By Perina Pathak Dedicating to his guru (teacher) Gopal Yonjan renowned Nepali singer B.K. Giri has brought his new album Bichhod in the market. This is the fourth album recently released to his audience with modern songs and ghajals. With altogether ten songs the CD has been presented by Music World, a new organisation formed by Giri to uplift the Nepali music. The songs and ghajals are mostly the tragic songs and seem it is sung to the beloved who betrayed her lover. Music of all songs is very melodious and harmonious. The introducing song Timro ra mero bich ko is very sentimental and soothing in which Kali Prasad Risal has given lyrics and music is by Gopal Yonjan. There are altogether ten songs in the cassette. Among these ten songs Yonjan has given his music in three songs. Whereas in other songs Sambhujeet Baskota, Deepak Jangan, Madan Dibbin and Giri himself has given music. Tada ma na chine ra timilai parai samje Najig aaya ra here merai timi rahechau is the lyric and music by Gopal Yonjan, which is very melodious. The song creates pleasing environment and evokes love in the heart. And number four song of the CD Bhaigo Na awo looks bit tragic as the singer signs remembering his lost love. Crying for his love the song seems that the singer has sung for his betrayal lover. Another song Aaja yauta is also a tragic song. Though the songs seem tragic the soothing and soft music makes one feel very relaxed and comfortable. And the powerful music also involves the listener in the song, which makes them comfortable. The sixth song of the cassette; Jalai diya huncha must be the inner feeling of the tragic lover, who is cursing his beloved who isolated him to live alone. The soothing music of the song makes it more pathetic. From the lyric we can feel that the lover who thought her as every thing later might have betrayed him. Where as another song Jharna bhaya ra ma bagne chu, timi nadi bana, pahad bhani ma ubhi ne chu must be a love song dedicated to his beloved. When one hears the songs, one can feel that Giri has dedicated it to someone that must be his beloved. The Nisturi ko maya malai is Giris love song which is indicating toward the nisturi (dishonest) girl who is not near to him and is too far from him but still is in his heart, which is making him very hard to live. The cassette and CD Bichod includes varieties of tragic songs. In Bandan Ajai Todne Bhaye the singer is indicating to a beloved who has broken the promise and left him alone. Where she has left is not known so he wants to see and meet her where she is and where she has left. He is still eager to meet her. He is alone throughout his life. He has asked his beloved from the song - why she loved him and left him alone? Why she made promise, when she cant fulfil it? All songs are very beautiful and melodious. Singer Giri has very nicely presented his feeling in the songs. But the songs have not been that successful in generating the inner feelings of listeners. |
