International Bridal Show
The United Nations Women’s Organization
(UNWO) on May 10th organized a unique event International Bridal Show in aid of
underprivileged girls and women. The show presented the bridal wears from 15 different
countries around the world. It provided the audience a rare opportunity to see the bridal
costumes from around the world. The performance by the non-professional models, including
expatriate community from Kathmandu, was noteworthy.
The show was choreographed by Shrijana Singh
Yonjon. The models who wore and exhibited the bridal dresses were Debra
Davidson(Australia), Rekha Saha kandel (Bangladesh), Lenka Fric(Czechoslovakia), Yingli
Liu(China), V. Malathi Rao(India), Raji Antony(India), Daljit Sudan(India), Shilpa
Dugar(India), Alice Norbury(Indonesia), Diptee Acharya(Nepal), Ananta Rana(Nepal), Maya
Rana(Nepal), Sneh Rana(Nepal), Vinita Malla (Nepal), Samina Wagan (Pakistan), Sadia
Majid(Pakistan, Candy Carcher (Phillipines), Maria Nazarova (Russia), Nira Gautam(Russia),
Seema Wanchoo (Sri Lanka), Hilda Fisler (Switzerland), Connie Speets(Thailand) and
Ladislava (USA). |
