Nine blind men and an elephant called Maobad

Malcom X

Blind Man One
A Maoist problem is a political problem. More over it is an intra party feud of a very small and insignificant communist party. The media is simply exaggerating the issue. This is because the left has a hold on the media. After all their very objective is: deception and propaganda. Look, there are more people being killed in day to day road accidents in Nepal than those being killed in Maoist movement. OK, we agreed that it is a political problem what we need is a political solution, not a dialogue and negotiation. One cannot negotiate with terrorists. I just do not understand why the government is trying to negotiate with Maoists. What we need is an effective political deterrent like political demonstrations, rallies, national consensus building seminars, meetings and, of course, luncheon and dinners at five star hotels. At the extreme, we might even have to ban that particular bit of political party. In the name of democracy we cannot have an anarchy. Any way that political wing is already bhumigat (underground), what does it costs to a nation to ban that party?

Blind Man Two
A Maoist problem is a social problem more over an ethnic problem. It is rooted in our deep seated caste base Hindu social structure. Even  a pure brahmin breed like Babu Ram is talking about class struggle and class conflict. People do not understand even the simple truth here. Look, in the name of creating an utopia, a Ram Rajya, Babu Ram, an another Bhramin is simply exploiting an ethnic minority. What we need is an out and out anti-Bhramin movement, a coalition of Bhattas and Rais to get rid of this bird called Bhattarai. Only this Bhattarai government can get rid of that Bhattarai.

Blind Man Three
A Maoist problem is an economic problem more over an American problem. The Americans have failed to support the development of this small country. Look, the they are targeting against Americans, against their INGOS and NGOs. If you think this is our problem then I would say this is an NGO problem. We need an effective NGO Act not an Anti Terrorist Act to solve the problem. Look, Maoists are building bridges and roads and trying to compete with our gaun bikas karyakaram.

Blind Man Four
It is an international problem. Maoists have a deep connection with a London based organization call RIM. Even Bhattarai's wife had her scholarship in UK. Without international support how could they survive so long in those remote mountains and jungles? Even an honest civil servants, with hefty DSA, avoids posting in Rukum and Rolpa. How can Maoist be there? Impossible, isn't it?

Blind Man Five
No. No. It is a local problem, at most a regional problem or a remote area problem. We Nepali have a terrible habit of connecting every thing with foreign hand. UML may have been toppled due to international conspiracy, Deuba may have suffered due to foreign ploy, Bam Dev may be operating under foreign outfit, Koirala may be under foreing pressure but Maoist problem is, definitely, a local problem. And hence it has a local solution. How can you call it an international problem when the movement is very much confined to certain region and locality of the country? People are simply trying to infatuate an eccentric guy like Bhattarai by giving him an undue status of Che Guevare

Blind Man Six
An Eccentric, right. This is a psychological problem of Dr Bhattarai. Look, he could not contribute any thing in the field of architectural engineering or regional planning. May be, we need to send Dr Devkota, his class mate, to do some mental surgery on him. Dr Bhattarai is acting very much like "Professor Sampoo" of the Shinning Path Movement in Peru washing the brains of the people. May be we could give Dr Bhattarai a post in the National Planning Commission.

Blind Man Seven
This is totally a communist problem. A democratic party like Nepali Congress must refrain from making its hand dirty with this problem. Communists are divided every where in the world. If you cannot comprehend their global division, just look at the lively play at home, between Male and E-male.

Blind Man Eight
This is a criminal problem. We need effective laws, acts, rules and regulations. Even a third rated conman is now robbing banks and terrorizing people in the name of Maobad.

Blind Man Nine
How could Maobad be a problem? It is a solution. It is a solution to get more American aid, a solution to increase defence budget, a solution to get more employment in police, army and other security personnel, a solution to distract the opposition politics. Even Bhattarai government is being saved because Koirala had to concentrate on Maoist problem.
