-With Malice to None- At times people commit blunders. Some times knowingly even. These unpardonable mistakes come as a result of ignorance. I call it total neglect and stupidity. These also could come if a human being belittles the importance and the intellect of a person who is held under scrutiny. I too have been the victim of this ignorance, at least for on time in my life. I rated his extra intelligence and superb visionary capabilities very low and I today while writing this story feel guilty. The story is related with one Nepali leader whose "funny utterances" made some four years ago in Chitaun district were scathingly criticized by this scribe. For me what this particular Nepali leader told his party activists appeared to me simply ridiculous. However, I today realize that how mistaken I was then in "perceiving the inner talent" of my own countrys prominent leader and that too of "our" Madhav Nepal. In effect I should have studied more then about his having a Hitlerite- moustache that is adding to the leaders personality. During my fresh trip to Germany this October, some German colleagues told me that Adolph Hitlers intelligence and talent what ever he possessed were the result of the peculiar type of his moustache. If one remembers the moustache of Hitler, one perhaps still could not control his or her laughter. Thanks the Almighty, at least Madhav Nepal has one that reminds us every time the German leader who practically caused the devastation of Europe during the Second World War. However, our Madhav Nepal is different. If Hitler used his talent for destruction, our Madhav Nepal uses his brain for creating innovative ideas which all give boost to the growth and expansion of Nepali trade and industries. It was not for anything that our Madhav Nepal made remarks then in Chitaun district that "soon Nepal could be able to export its hydropower to friendly China through the use of the satellites". His utterances made then had puzzled the entire nation including this scribe. However, today I feel how "intelligent and visionary" was Madhav Nepal then who could see in advance as to how our electric power could be sent to China and bring back dollars. In thinking so he was hundred percent right about his vision which perhaps remains unparalleled in human kinds history till today. Why and how Ive become the fan of Madhav Nepal will be clear to my readers when they would read this stunning but yet correct innovation that our friends from Israel have recently developed. It is stunning in the sense that this invention corroborates the revelation that our Madhav Nepal knew some four years back. In fact people, more so the researchers, must contact our national leader who thinks in advance of the things to come in a decade or so later. The Israeli magazine, "Israel Today" of May-June 2000 issue has this to read in its last page. This reads as follows: " Two senior researchers at the Weizmann Institute have recently developed a method which, for the first time, will make possible the broadcasting of scents and odors in a "live broadcast", including TV, the Internet, telephone and other electronic means. TV and cinema films which have a "scent track" and special telephone channels will have this capacity". Well, I am of the strong opinion that if scents could travel from CNNs central station in Los Angeles, or wherever it is located, to our private homes through the Idiot Box, then why not we could export our abundant hydropower to China through satellites as so brilliantly suggested and envisioned by Madhav Nepal. Going a bit more further, we can send our power to any countries in the world through the use of the telephones or television. I suspect the Israeli researchers must have taken a clue for what they have discovered now from Madhav Nepals Chitaun speech. Thanks the Internet, these Israeli scientists could catch the innovative brain of our national level leader. So if such similar absurd looking inventions are made or brought in to effect by scientists abroad, Nepal must get the reward in financial terms as he has already declared the absurd no longer remain absurd. We the countrymen must salute our leader whose inspirations have inspired the researchers across the globe immaterial of their party-affiliations. The nation must honor such talents and benefit from their superb visionary capabilities. |
