LETTER

Letter to the Editor

Dear Sir,

I am one of many who have visited your beautiful country and feel very saddened by what is happening there now. I sincerely hope your message of reason is listened to. I am also very concerned at present because my daughter is due to come to Nepal in about 8 weeks to work at a medical centre in Pokhara for six weeks. She is just finishing her training as a doctor and is very keen to work and learn there. However, as parents, we are very worried that the situation in Nepal may quickly deteriorate and she will be endangered. It is difficult to really get a true underdstanding of the situation from so far away as Australia. Could you perhaps let me know what you think the best thing might be. Do you think people like my daughter should defer coming to Nepal at this time? I would very much value your informed opinion. With best wishes for your country's future.

Ian Mckinlay
