Nepali democracy and its leaders exposed!

Give it any name. Interpret it differently as it suits to one's political affiliations or biases. One can call it an act wherein the constitutional limits have been exceeded. Others can call it a timely and necessary move that had got to be initiated much ahead.

Interpretations may vary. Whether the monarch did it remaining well within the boundaries of the 1990 constitution or did so by exercising his "residual powers" inherent in His personality as the King of the nation, the fact is that the constitutional monarch has already made a move which constitutionally might appear far from being constitutional but concurrently reserved unequivocally the heartfelt sanctions from the majority of the national population albeit sans the political animals and their hangers on who have been denied opportunities to loot the nation any more. The rest of the constitutional nitty-gritty have got to be debated by those who claim to be the experts of the constitution.

If Lauda/Dhamija air scam is democracy then we salute this democracy. If China South West Airlines scandal is a democracy, then we again salute this democracy. If the never-ending shameful "Tamasha" exhibited in series by the Nepali Congress party and their leaders since the early days of the 1990 amounted to democracy then we wish to salute their special brand of democracy. Likewise, if Minister Wagley's amassing of the wealth through the abuse of authority is a democracy then perhaps we all should salute this democracy. If Bijaya Gachhedar, Bal Bahadur K.C and Khum Bahadur Khadka were to be considered as the ideals and the representatives of democracy then the whole world should salute Nepal's democracy unconditionally. If Madhav Nepal's and his party's impatience exhibited during the ratification of the Mahakali Treaty is Nepali democracy then we must salute the UML brand of Nepali democracy. If democracy brings to the forefront of the national politics ladies like Sujata, Amita Kapali and Mrs. Deuba and a host of seen and unseen others of the same "flock" who assume "unconstitutional" authorities and dictate the functioning of the State affairs then we salute this democracy. We salute the democracy that allows the leaders to be-fool their voters repeatedly and the voters in turn manage some how or the other to see their own representatives at times of the elections only. We salute the democracy which allows the leaders to distort and define the system suiting to their personal aggrandizement. Similarly, if the "pseudo democratic" leaders are denied their "democratic rights" to squeeze the nation and amass wealth to the tune of astronomical amounts through illegal means then we yet again salute this democracy.

If democracy allows the democratic leaders to enjoy duty-free Pajero/Prado at the cost of the teeming millions and millions and prompts the male parliamentarians to extract financial benefits from the parliament on account of becoming "pregnant". We salute the democracy which makes a foot-path dweller of the recent past a multi-millionaire within days and months and yet remains "above the laws of the land". We salute the System which allowed the "22" government bureaucrats currently under the custody of the CIAA to amass wealth uninterruptedly to the tune of the country's national budget. We salute the rest of the corrupts who have managed to remain "safe and sound" and also our salute goes to the CIAA authorities who have apparently taken oath not to create panic among the rest of the corrupts at time of the festivals. Salute to CIAA's abrupt silence taken in this regard.

And if in a system its leaders find more comfortable in listening to the dictates of a former Indian diplomat as and when he is in town and conclude that they must be guided by the said diplomat, we salute such a system.

And finally, we salute the system, which instead of bringing us all together creates fissures in and among various friendly national communities, ethnic tribes and various languages.

Last but not the least, we will salute a system from the hearts if leaders exhibited their nationalist characters, push ideas and programs for the redress of the Himalayan problems of the poor and the marginalised population in the parliament. We will salute the system which enhanced Nepali nationalism; made us less corrupt and less dependent on others; disallowed our leaders to amass wealth through the use of corrupt means and the likes.

The message should be clear to those for whom this has been penned.

May Goddess Bhavani bless the rest of the corrupts who fortunately have yet to go behind the bars thanks the laxity of the CIA authorities.
