With Malice to None
Nepalese Leaders in high demand

After a long struggle for "liberation" that continued for decades and decades, the people of an unknown Island got freedom.

The new Island nation was later named " Our Nation".

The personality who had waged the struggle for liberation and who remained instrumental in uniting all the forces for obtaining freedom was named the President of the new Republic. He was "Go Easy Esperanto". AS a seasoned leader he was modest and flexible too but lacked experience in handling the state of affairs. He then summoned the Cabinet which again comprised of the men who lacked experience in the state affairs. The cabinet under Esperanto unanimously decided to invite world famous politicians in order to streamline the country’s affairs. The idea was to make the newly formed Island nation a model and later to apply for the UN membership.

One cabinet member, Mr. Uneasy who till then was allowed to look into the home affairs and fortunately had recently been to Nepal, pushed his idea that Nepal’s politicians would be the fittest of all to train them all. The idea clicked. The president then send formal invitation letters to Monsieur Koirala, Madhhav Nepal, Bijuckche and Amik Sherchan.

The idea of inviting Dr. Baburam Bhattarai was simply shelved as he had just come to negotiate with the Nepali establishment. Si,ilarly, the invitation to Sher Bahadur Deuba was simply dropped because the cabinet members knew that Shri Deuba was an "incompetent" prime minister and hence they felt that it was useless to invite him.

Back in Nepal, the leaders received the invitation, which in essence puzzled them all. They began thinking as to why the Island nation invited them at a time when the nation was all set to enter into a new political phase after the resumption of the talks with the Maoists.

The Nepali leaders of the gang of four wrote a letter insisting that they be given proper explanation as to why they were being invited at this crucial moment.

The reply that came was not pleasant but Nepali leaders gulped the bitter pill.

"Since you all have been sidelined by the present Chand establishment and been searching a role for yourself to exhibit that you continue as a political entity and hence we thought that we would invite those seasoned politicians who approach forced etirement from politics. Is that clear to you all?"

Nepali leaders got the point and began their preparations for their voyage to that unknown Island nation.

Koirala’s entourage comprised of his sister-in-law; his daughter; his nephew; Govind Raj Joshi; Laxman Ghimire; Krishna Sitaula and Arjun K.C. Understandably, the entourage included Sushil Koirala. Koirala thought that his team members could fit into the scheme of things of the Island nation.

Madhav Nepal managed his team that had just won the elections in Janakpur. He deliberately left Bam Dev; K.P.Woli and Radha Mainali and the likes from the minority to listen to the monotonous dialogues to be held in between minister Pun and Dr. Babu Ram Bhattarai. Care was taken to see that in the absence of Madhav Nepal, his detractors might not stage a coup de’etat. A person excessively loyal to Mr. Nepal was declared UML’s representative-the heir apparent.

For Comrade Rohit and Amik Sherchan, the management of the team members was not that a problem because these were the parties whose numerical strength the leaders themselves didn’t know. Tentatively, a one-man leadership, we are told.

On the scheduled date, Nepali leaders left for that particular Island nation. The President of the Republic broke all the protocols and himself greeted our leaders at the airport. Later Nepali leaders were invited for a dinner. The President briefed Nepali leaders what to do and to not. It was agreed that the Nepali leaders will stay for six months only.

The training began. By around the mid way of the training, the president had already become restive. To avoid his sleeplessnights, the president was being administered sleeping tablets. The national population started shouting slogans against the president.

The reason:

Every thing became a mess. Koirala managed the flights of the Lauda Air. He brought Dhamija and the Chase Air scandals in the republic. He then brought his Biratnagar cadres to the republic and appointed them all in key posts by replacing those who had occupying those posts prior to Koirala’s arrival there. He then began crying foul against the president who had invited him there. At one point Koirala threatened the president by saying that if Koiralacracy were to be challenged, he would think of replacing the president himself. Sujata brought her German family there and acquired ten hectares of prime land in the capital of the republic and that too free of cost. It was unilaterally decided that all the money spinning contracts would be routed through Sujata’s channel. Koirala then signed a treaty with the neighboring nation on water resources but told the republic population that it were nothing but a minor agreement.

On the other hand, Madhav Nepal formed his own team there and ordered to locate any Bamdev or for that matter Woli sort of persons and throw them out. Madhav thought that if the replica of his Nepali-detractors were found in the new nation, he couldn’t serve the nation better. He then ordered China South West Airlines to operate three times a week from Island nation to Nepal. The airline was told not to ask airfare from his comrade-in-arms that wished to travel to the new republic. His other influential Brahmin colleagues were told to capture the ministries of Home and Local development. He then advised the cabinet that he will keep all the options open as per the Janakpur declaration which meant that he could join hands with both: the president of the republic or with those who differed with him.

Within three months, the republic became Red. The communists of the Island nation started demanding Pajero and Prado. The training changed the lifestyles of the rag-bag-bobby-tail communists of the recent past.

The president of the Republic finally decided to write a letter to Nepal’s monarch appealing him to take back his leaders in order to safe guard the Island nation from chaos and further possible disintegration.

The two leaders, Bijukche and Sherchan, apparently enjoyed the affair but did not meddle in the Island’s affairs.

We are told that the president of the republic has issued a strict order barring his native population not even to dream of Nepal and her leaders let alone plan a short trip to the Himalayan Kingdom.

Some body told us that the leaders upon their return to Nepal are searching for their possible role in the Government-Maoists talks.
