Nepals genuine culture: Conspiratorial politics! Nepals conspiratorial politics is different than other conspiratorial States, if any. It is here that you will not perform. It is here that you will apparently wish the problems to continue but yet give the impression that despite your tireless efforts the issue in question would take some more time to come simply because the other camp does not respond to your namesake offers or for that matter the proposals. It is again here that you would wish the others to fail summarily in endeavors of the same scale and magnitude for you represent those who have made the Nepali politics a conspiratorial one. And finally it is here again that you would wish to sabotage the entire process even if it were aimed at restoring peace and normalcy in the country simply because it has already become your habit which forces you every time to do so, think so and even dream so. Old habits die hard rightly said. The practice of conspiring against each other has become a long preserved tradition that has already taken a formal shape in the country. Conspiring against the other has become so rampant that it has already taken the shape of a well nurtured culture from which we cant deviate come what may. Thanks to the Nepali political paraphernalia that the process that began right from the very first democratic days of the early 1950s is continuing unabated even till today. Thanks the leaders and the politicians of the present day age that the process of conspiratorial politics is not only omnipresent but is very much kicking and alive. For example, Girija has made it a point to conspire against all those who even dream to pose a challenge to his presidency and the prime ministerial chair as and when he is there. Girija conspired against his nearest and dearest rivals Bhattarai and Deuba and made them to quit the chair to the extent that prime minister Bhattarai quit the post of prime minister almost weeping which was there for all to see. Deuba prime ministerial chair met the same fate twice. In turn, Deuba and Bhattarai too retorted in the same fashion and Girija had to summarily quit the prestigious chair without which this septuagenarian leader apparently cant exist. In the process, Girija saw designs and threat to democracy as and when he was unceremoniously told to quit the chair. But the threat to democracy and designs vanished the moment he grabbed the same chair from which he was forced to quit. This is Girijas conspiratorial habit which the people of this country have taken for granted. At another plane, the UML too is no exception to this long-standing culture which has already taken the form of a rule. Madhav Nepal conspires against Woli. Woli sees conspiracy in whatever Madhav does. In the process, the whole party smacks foul in their play. Madhav sees Woli to be close to alien forces. Woli rejects this accusation but instead maintains that those who accuse him were the ones who had unfair linkages with foreign forces. The rest of the leaders take the sides of their preferred ones as very good boys, which means that they too subscribe to the views propounded by their respected and honored leaders. In the whole process, the entire UML paraphernalia is divided in one way or the other. The ongoing convention in Janakpur did reflect the animosity in between the two arch-rivals, Madhav and Woli. To recall, the UML saw a vertical split due to this culture. The RPP till the other day remained divided in Thapa and Chand camps. Thapa camp accused the other camp as to be representing the hardliners which meant that the latter group enjoyed the blessings of a very powerful force in Kathmandu. This group in turn accused the former to be close to some alien forces. The Captain has changed but then yet the accusations remain in place. Add to this, the new captain too is being dubbed as to be a personality who advocates greater role for the King in the changed context. Which camp is speaking the truth will take decades and decades to ascertain which mean that the conspiracy factor will also remain intact. The gist is that with the existence of such fake or real conspiratorial politics in the countrys politics, it is easy to guess as to whom is hindering the development process in the country. It makes us easier all the more to ascertain as which Nepali leaders were causing irreparable damage to the overall system of governance in the country. It is time that "we the people" understand these personalities better.
