Compromise O! Ye! Nepali souls

Nepali democracy is different than the rest being practiced in the globe because Nepali Congress President Koirala says so. Indeed it has been made distinct by our national heroes for reasons best known to them only. It is entirely special than others because Madhav Nepal has his own separate interpretations. When they say so, the people ought to rethink over the established definitions of democracy what they have been taught or learnt through experience and revise their own conceived notions about the system because both the two national "men of distinguished valor" have said it. Its corollary would be that the lay men, that is the ever marginalised population have got to abide by the decree of the two leaders because they have explained it so. It is thus binding on us all even we prefer to differ with their "new explanations". This way, we suppose the country now must go the Madhav and Koirala way for it is these two political creatures who will henceforth guide and goad the system in a manner that suits them politically most. In the process they deserve exclusive rights even to distort, defame, deform and run the system through pre-emptive orders should they come to power which is what they need most at the present moment. Be it known to all the Nepali citizens! What these two political vertebrates wish would happen. They will not settle for less henceforth. In order to impose their self-styled ideologies and interpretations, they can and have the means to things put in order should they come across any opposition to their entirely different model of a system that apparently not exists in this civilized world. Agitation, demonstrations, pulling the iron railings, summoning the school-going kids to form gatherings, burning of the effigies and taking the country to ransom are some of the measures that they will apply to settle their scores with those who happen to take exception to their now almost tactics of terror.

O! Ye! Nepali souls! Come to terms with Koirala and Madhav Nepal for they have declared themselves more than the Almighty and thus Ye! Nepali kind souls, compromise with the events that are unfolding under the sole dictates of these two political figures.

The CIAA terror and Nepali democrats

The CIAA, the constitutional authority that looks into the matters related to the activities of corruption committed by actors like leaders, bureaucrats, top class police officers, ministers and even the prime ministers appears to be on the move. Better late than never.

In the recent weeks the CIAA by summoning various prominent leaders has sent spine-chilling waves in the minds of those who really have amassed wealth to astronomical amounts while they were in power but yet pretend not to have done so that demanded the CIAA’s penetration into their scheme of things.

To ascertain whether they are really corrupt or just the otherwise will definitely take some time. However, the act of summoning in itself doesn’t amount to a crime and those who feel confident that they were a creature all sacrosanct must not panic. After all the rule of law prevails in the country which states that unless convicted or proved by the judiciary no person would be considered guilty. Thus there is nothing to panic. But there has been a sort of panic among the men summoned by the CIAA.

In effect, the summoning of the CIAA this time has clearly demarcated between the "democrats" and the laymen.

The first set of "committed" democrats are those who have already been summoned by the CIAA and have out of panic or for that matter the fear of being exposed among their own cadres and countrymen have decided to provide a new boost to the ongoing movement so that they could shield themselves from the terror of the CIAA. The idea is that the if the movement attains a new height, the government will collapse and the monarch will be obliged to invite them to form a new government to be headed by them. Once in power, they conclude that the CIAA could be tamed. Thus the commitment to "democracy".

The second set comprises of those "democrats" who have concluded that sooner or later the CIAA will approach them as well and hence it would be better to support the movement hoping that the success of the said movement will shield them from the approaching hands of the CIAA. Thus this set hopes that if they were to survive with a clean face among their voters and the lay men, they should support the movement unconditionally. Thus this set is there.

What comes to the fore is that the movement though has been given a political color but in essence is an outcome of the frustrated and terrified brains of those who at one time or the other been in the government and amassed wealth for generations and generations at the cost of the teeming millions.

There is the third set of "democrats" which is non-partisan but yet wishes the system to come to the rails and in the process they wish to see the corrupts behind the iron bars. Indeed, this set of democrats can only wish but isn’t in a position to influence the politics of the nation. This has been their fate.
