US Playing Double

Dear Editor,

I donot know whether it is surprising or not. But definitely it  worries me a bit. The reason is the comment of Christina Rocca made in New Delhi. I think US  loves to interfere directly in Nepal’s situation but is hesitate because of India. So is US paving a way to Nepal through India and also is trying to make India happy? This is a kind of double role US is playing. We have to  remember that US is seeking a big help form India in Iraq.

When unity is in question there will always be someone who wants to take benefits. Now we Nepalese are weakened by our internal power clash. And there they are. We, and mostly the politicians of Nepal must understand this environment and aware of it. We should be clear that political difference is nothing in the interest of nations safety.

So I urge all politicians including the palace to solve this crisis as soon as possible to keep away any outside intervention before it is too late.

Thank you,

Will the monarch have to go on satisfying each and everyone?

Dear editor

The editorial on Thapa and resignation going parallel was an intuitive one. What are the options available to bring back the derailed constitution. Will the monarch have to go on satisfying each and everyone even though they fail in their task. What if Rame, Shyame do not want to leave the chair and what if someone else’s only motive is to be there. Indeed a dilema for the King and disaster for the nation.

In this context, an old saying “You cannot please everyone at the same time” holds true. However, let the best for the nation be decided devoid of any prejudices and grudges. It will be history which will judge the decision taken at this crucial juncture.
