Good Observation, Bad writing

Dear Editor,

The author Mr Hari Gautam has made good observations in a badly written article. I think the article could be improved from its present drab form if the editors and the writer pay a little more attention to the style.

Awakening editorial on Excellence Award.

Very well written and awakening editorial. This message should spread to the donor community as well. The planners should stop using poor Nepalese and Nepal as begging bowl. They should think of ways to make use of its own resources- human capital.

Nepal is the undeclared colony of India

Dear Sir

I read  "NEPAL IS THE UNDECLARED COLONY OF INDIA" written by Dr. S.M. Habibullah, Head Department of Political Science, TU. I will not dare to argue about political science, which is the subject of this learned man, Dr. S.M. Habibullah. I noticed that Dr. S.M. Habibullah thinks that only reason of Indian help to Nepal is because Nepal is a Hindu country and the King is Hindu. Quote "....and the role of the King of Nepal is even more important to Indians as being mostly Hindus than to Nepalese. This is the reason why India has constantly helped the Nepalese monarchy and the people of this country........." Unquote. I am both surprised and shocked to note such mean communal views from such learned person. I have seen many similar communal educated persons in India but I have come across such communal Nepali Muslim in Nepal for the first time. Is it because Dr. S.M. Habibullah is highly educated and during his education in India he caught the communal bugs from Indian Muslims where minds of Muslims and Hindus were poisoned by British policies to rule both communities?

Prof. Habibullah Replies: Thanks Mr. Bisht for your prompt comments on my talk with a French student. However, I would suggest you to increase your understanding on the subject and then you should ask yourself as to why Nepal's relations with India has a "Special place" among all the neighboring countries of India? Thanks.

Ed: The debate thus ends. We will not entertain further discussion on this topic.
