Women on top

On women

Women after all have shown the way.

"No to Maoists mayhem", they have said and have acted so.

They have become the first to go against the Maoists terror.

The so-called equal partners, the masculine genders, have yet to come forward.

However, these women do not belong to the so-called elite classes, stationed permanently at the capital.

Isn't it a surprise?

They have not attended convent schools.

They are not wives of former prime ministers or the present one.

They do not work for I/NGOs.

They are not human right activists and not even a woman's activist.

They do not give frequent interviews on TV channels on women's rights.

They do not even ask for equal rights.

They do not attend seminars and enjoy five star meals.

--

They are illiterate ones but more than those who have attended convent schools.

They are mothers whose husbands have been killed by the Maoists.

They do not work for I/NGOs but feed their children working in the fields.

They do not cry for equal right.

All that they want is peace.

They eat dhido and roti yet they are happy.

They are those who represent the entire Nepali women.

They are the womenfolk from Banglung and Dullu villages of Dailekh district, from far western Nepal.

--

Oh, ye the Rest listen to those from Dailekh and follow them.

Oh, ye the Government do not make them mere propaganda material;

they are the real voices that represent the entire nation.

Oh, ye the Maoists get the signals and act in a more civilized manners;

And try to find a place in the hearts of even those whom you have terrorized.

It's never too late.

On UML

Madhav wants to continue. He knows it, why?

One bad decision on his part can mean a lot to him and his party.

Madhav says, "The government is ineffective sans his ministers".

He is happy with his ministers because he says his ministers fought against TADO, objected the 12 million gift to Helen Shah and though unconstitutional did not attend the Rajparishad meet". Madhav is very happy.

Happy Madhav also wanted to say his ministers are also amassing wealth for elections and for the party by creating artificial shortage of sugar and petro-chemicals among the countrymen, but stopped himself from saying that.

Humm! Elections.

Any way he has to be there until the elections. No matter how many years it takes.

Bravo le UML! Keep the spirit alive.

Chura and Pote

Not very surprisingly then, the agitating women against Maoists in Dailekh have recently sent CHURA, and DHAGO to Madhav Nepal and Girija Koirala challenging their masculinity in fighting against the terror, writes the Punarjagaran weekly dated 14 December.

Chura and Dhago are the two special materials that Nepali women folks use that distinguish men from the feminine gender.
