No body wants peace!

Dear Editor,

I totally disagree and moreover irritated with what Mr. N. Aryal has written about the persons who are putting all their efforts to bring together the Maoists and the government to a table to talk. His opinion shows a total apathy to the sufferings ordinary Nepalese are undergoing in the cross fire of the warring sides and is reflected in the utter discouraging words he scribes towards HRA at the time when I think a sincere support is needed from all sides. May be it is only you who does not want peace to resurrect because with that so called journalists like you would not have anything to write 'Bakbaas' article on anymore and claim to be a new generation of talented columnist!!

All the dailies and weeklies should outright reject acceptance of such articles, which draws conclusions talking on people. If you think a great columnist lets talk of ideas, strategies ways and means whatever to resolve the crisis!!!!

Who is President Koirala?

I am writing you regarding new analysis published in The Telegraph on Wednesday 29 September 2004. Heading of the report was "President Koirala bends"! I found the news analysis awkward and had difficulties in understanding it!

I did not see the first name of the person you were analysing. I read the news twice but still having difficulties to ascertain, who is the President Koirala? The report mentioned the word Koirala for about two dozen times, but nowhere, I could find his or her first name. There are hundreds of thousand of Koirala's in Nepal, who you were referring to?

Likewise, I did not see the name of organisation of which, Koirala is the president. Using title president without mentioning the name of organisation is again misleading. Koirala could be president of a club, a party, a committee or any other group. If you do not mention the name of the organisation what is the meaning of using the title.

How do you claim your reporting as in-depth analysis, which did not even meets the basics of journalism-give clear information. I am writing this comment from overseas. Can you satisfy my query by replying as soon as possible?
