stations? Ministry of Environment and Population runs the stations under the assistance of Danish agency, Danida.
Valley air ' The air quality of Kathmandu valley from January 30 to February 05 was polluted with most of the monitoring stations recording “unhealthy” air pollution levels, according to the data recorded by the Ministry of Environment and Population. According to the data, the Putalisadak and Matsyagaon area remained the most and the least polluted sites in the Valley. Weekly air quality report : January 30 - February 05
The Putalisadak area recorded a weekly average (based on the daily averages) of 235.14 PM10. The area recorded “unhealthy” and “very unhealthy” air marks for six and one day of the period. The Matsyagaon area recorded “good” and “moderate” air marks for six and one day of the period with a weekly average of 46.42 PM10. Patan Hospital, Thamel, Bhaktapur and Tribhuvan University area (Kirtipur) were respectively the second, third, fourth most polluted sites in the Valley during the period recording weekly averages of 239.85, 182.14, 130.14 and 83.57 PM10 respectively. nepalnews.com pd Feb11 05 Valley air improves
What is PM10 ? The air quality of Kathmandu valley improved from January 9 to 15 as compared to the previous period with five of six monitoring stations recording a fall in pollution levels, according to the data recorded by the Ministry of Environment and Population. The weekly averages of
the air pollution levels (based on the daily averages) showed a decrease
the monitoring stations at Putalisadak, Kirtipur (Tribhuwan University
area) Bhaktapur, Patan Hospital and Thamel while weekly averages of the

As usual, the Putalisadak area and the Matsyagaon area were the most and least polluted sites in the Valley during the period. The Putalisadak area recorded a weekly average (based on the daily averages) of 266.86 PM10, down from the previous week’s 311.29 PM10. The area recorded 'unhealthy' air marks for all days of the period. The Matsyagaon area recorded 'good' and 'moderate' air marks for two days and six days of the period respectively with a weekly average of 63.57 PM10. The Matsyagaon area had recorded 56.29 PM10 in the last period. The Patan Hospital, Thamel, Bhaktapur and Kirtipur area were respectively the second, third and fourth most polluted sites in the Valley during the period recording a weekly average of 263.43, 205.00, 104.43 and 100.14 PM10 respectively. Data

period respectively with a weekly average of 56.29 PM10. The Patan Hospital,
Thamel, Bhaktapur and Kirtipur area were respectively the second, third
and fourth most polluted sites in the Valley during the period recording a
