The Kathmandu Metropolitan City has directed the schools to conduct classes through alternative means as the coronavirus infection is on the rise.

Schools have been instructed to conduct classes through alternative means immediately after receiving complaints that some private schools are conducting physical classes.

It is reported that the directives of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, District Administration Office, Kathmandu, and the Department of Education have been ignored. And now the Department of Education has issued a notice and directed to immediately stop the physical classes.

Stating that the COVID cases are increasing rapidly, the government has instructed all the schools to operate through alternative means instead of conducting physical classes.

At present, Kathmandu Valley has become a center of coronavirus infection. Around seven thousand people are infected daily in the Kathmandu Valley. The government has even postponed examinations conducted by the Public Service Commission and Tribhuvan University to prevent and control coronavirus infection.
