Polio vaccine for Afghanistan returnees

The government is planning to vaccinate those returning from Afghanistan.

Minister of State for Health and Population Umesh Shrestha tweeted today saying the decision to vaccinate everyone was taken in view of the spread of polio in Afghanistan. All those arriving from Afghanistan have also been requested to go to the nearby vaccination center for the polio vaccination.

Following the takeover of Afghanistan by the Taliban, Nepalis living there are returning home in rescue flights. The government has also been repatriating them in different phases
