Prohibitory order extended in Kathmandu valley for 10 days

The prohibitory order that has been imposed in Kathmandu valley to stop the spread of the coronavirus has been extended for another 10 days.

The prohibitory order that has been imposed in Kathmandu valley to stop the spread of the coronavirus has been extended for another 10 days. The current prohibitory, which would have come to an end at midnight today, has been extended by the chief district officers of Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur in a meeting held today.

Meanwhile, all the provisions that are there in the current prohibitory order will be applicable in the next order too. Educational institutions have still not been allowed to conduct physical classes and will have to make do with online classes for the time being.

Similarly, all seminars, meetings and conferences where a large crowd of people could gather have still been prohibited. Also, party palaces, dance bars, gymnasiums, swimming pools and sporting events, among others have been curtailed.

Besides pharmacies other shops that have been allowed to open will be allowed to do so till 7 pm like in the current order. However, they will have to maintain the necessary social distancing measures and use hand sanitiser besides following the other health safety protocols set by the government.
