Sadhu attacker at Pashupati arrested in Kathmandu

Police have arrested a man who was absconding after attacking a sadhu at the Pashupatinath area with a khukuri. Khukuri is the traditional Nepali cutting weapon.

The arrested has been identified as Tara Bahadur Lamichhane (37) of Jagatpur, Chitwan district. He had attacked the sadhu named Santosh on the way to the Bishworupa of Pashupati in Kathmandu Metropolis-8. Lamichhane was arrested from Hepali Height of Budhanilkantha Municipality, Kathmandu today.

Police confiscated the khukuri used in the incident and a bag from him, spokesperson at the Metropolitan Police Range, Superintendent of Police Ramesh Kumar Basnet, said.
