After the government eased the prohibitory order in Kathmandu valley economic activities have started gathering pace and the streets too are crowded with vehicles and pedestrians. Shops have been allowed to open and since the last few days, we can see crowds gathering at various places.

For instance, the scene in the vegetable market in Machhapokhari looks the same as what it was prior to the initial days of the prohibitory order. People do not seem to have still grasped the gravity of the danger of being infected with the coronavirus and though they are wearing face masks they do not seem to be very aware of the need for social distancing.
