Snowfall is making people's life difficult in Humla. As Humla is a mountainous district, the life of the people in the northern part of the district has become difficult due to the snowfall. It has been raining in the lower part of the district including Simkot since this morning and people in the upper part are facing snowfall.
With the change of weather, the temperature in Simkot has dropped to minus from today. According to the locals, it has become colder in the morning and night than during the day.
As the temperature decreases, people living in the district have started buying thick clothes. Sales on winter clothes have increased in Simkot-based shops. Due to the cold weather, schools have started burning firewood for the students to keep them warm. Health workers have suggested staying warm during the cold season.
This is the second snowfall in North of Namkha Rural Municipality, Humla. The temperature has dropped to minus. At present, the temperature in Chala has reached minus five degrees.
