Body of Indian national missing in Sindhupalchowk flood recovered

The body of an Indian national who had gone missing in the flood in Sindhupalchowk district has been recovered. The body was recovered in Sindhuli today.

Chief District Officer of Sindhupalchowk, Arun Pokhrel, informed that the body of Kamal Lochan Mahato, an Indian national, had been recovered in Sindhuli. He mentioned that the bodies of two Chinese nationals were recovered in the morning and now the body of an Indian national had been recovered. Pokhrel informed that the body of the Indian national had been sent for postmortem.  

Mahato was also employed in the Melamchi Water Supply Project.

Along with the recovery of Mahato’s body, the death count in Sindhupalchowk district due to the flood has reached three. Many people are still missing in the flood and a joint team of Nepal Police, Nepal Army and Armed Police Force is looking for the missing people.
