National Innovation Centre hands over 50 ventilators to government

The National Innovation Centre has handed over 50 units of ventilators to the government. The ventilators that were gifted by Gradian Health Systems in the United States were brought to Nepal by National Innovation Centre in coordination with America-Nepal Medical Foundation and handed over today.

Chairperson of America-Nepal Medical Foundation, Dr Bhupendra Basnet, and board member of National Innovation Centre, Hari Kumar Silwal handed over the ventilators to Minister of Health and Population Sher Bahadur Tamang.

The ventilators will be provided to nine hospitals within the country. Today itself, 10 ventilators were delivered to Bir Hospital in Ratna Park and five to Civil Hospital in Min Bhawan.

While receiving the ventilators Minister Tamang said that the ministry would work on improving the infrastructure of the government hospitals and make sure that there are enough numbers of beds in all hospitals.
