National Examinations Board (NEB) has urged all students appearing in class 12 examinations to receive vaccines against COVID-19.

The NEB on August 7 postponed class 12 exams scheduled to be held from August 15 to 25 in view of the increasing cases of COVID-19.

Prior to holding the exams, the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) through the Department of Health Services (DoHS) has instructed all health directorates and health offices in all 77 districts to arrange for the vaccines for the students in the age group of 18 years and above. Hence, the students have been urged to receive vaccines from the vaccination centres specified by the District Vaccine Coordination and Monitoring Committee and health sectors concerned. The students will have to produce their exam admit cards for the vaccine.

The NEB has further urged the school principals and guardians to encourage students to take vaccines.
