'COVID vaccination campaign running smoothly': Minister Khatiwada

Minister for Health and Population Birodh Khatiwada has informed that the vaccination campaign against COVID-19 is being conducted with high priority. At a press meet organized by the Socialist Press Organization Morang here today, he said that the government has the policy to run the vaccination campaign more effectively by making a schedule in all the seven states. Minister Khatiwada said that there is no problem with vaccination against corona and added that there are 40 million doses of vaccine now.

He said that 40 percent of the population has already been vaccinated and a temporary desk will be set up for vaccination. "The government is ready to conduct regular vaccinations in the most congested cities," he said. So far, 28 million doses have been vaccinated. ”

He said that the work of vaccinating children above 4 to 12 years and under 18 years of age has been started last December. According to him, 60 per cent of the people have been vaccinated with two doses so far.

Stating that the government has already made preparations for the prevention, treatment, and control of Omicron, he said that the government would set up a holding center and set up oxygen plants in many hospitals along with the provision of ICU and ventilator in the hospital. He informed that discussions are underway with the government and the company to get the insurance provided by the citizens during the Corona epidemic.
