Two held including ambulance driver with 100kg cannabis in Sunsari

Sunsari Police apprehended two men in Dharan Sub-metropolitan City-2 in possession of 100kg of cannabis from an ambulance with vehicle registration number KO 1 CHA 5559 on Monday evening.

The arrestees have been identified as Bal Bahadur Limbu (36), ambulance driver, a resident of Dhara Sub-Metropolis-15, and Poshan Rai (28), a resident of Sahidbhumi Rural Municipality-1 in Dhankuta.

Security personnel deployed from the Dharan-based Area Police Office arrested them in possession of the substance during a routine vehicle check. The cannabis was found packed in four bags in the ambulance which was coming from Dhankuta's Bhedetar to Dharan.

They have been charged for possession of the drug and further investigation into the case is underway, informed Dharan-based Area Police Office, Sunsari.
