Techhada village in Shikhar Municipality-1, Doti district, has been sealed off following the death of a local due to coronavirus.

The deceased has been identified as a 28-year-old woman who returned from India a few days back.

According to Ward Chair, Khadak Bahadur Shahi, people are restricted from leaving the village until May 3. Likewise, no outsider will be allowed to enter the village till the aforementioned date.

With the second wave of coronavirus crisis deepening in India, people of Doti, who reached India as migrant workers, have started returning home. However, they seem reluctant to stay in quarantine which has put the entire village at high risk of infection, said the ward chair. Lately, over 1,000 people returned home from India in Doti.
