Police in Jhapa district on Thursday afternoon arrested a man in possession of 22gm heroin from Shantinagar Tole in Mechinagar Municipality-6.
The arrested has been identified as Pawan Rai (26), a local resident of the same municipality in the district.
Security personnel deployed from Kakarvitta-based Narcotics Control Bureau nabbed him with the substance.
Further investigation into the case is underway, informed the District Police Office, Jhapa.
