Baluwatar case: Bhattarai and Nepal's case hearing on November

Lawyers representing Speaker of the House of Representatives, Agni Prasad Sapkota, have started placing their arguments before the constitutional bench of the Supreme Court, in Kathmandu, on July 4, 2021.

Judgment in the case of Baburam Bhattarai and Madhav Kumar Nepal is scheduled to come on November 15.

A joint bench of Chief Justice of the Supreme Court Chalendra Shamsher Jabra and Justice Nahakul Subedi has fixed the date of delivery of the verdict.

A writ petition against the decision of the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority not to prosecute former Prime Minister Bhattarai and Nepal in the Lalita Niwas case in Baluwatar was heard today.

The court has also ordered the legal practitioners of both the parties to submit their argument notes by November 6.

Advocate Bal Krishna Neupane had filed a writ petition against the two in the land case.
