Chairperson of CPN (Maoist Centre) Pushpa Kamal Dahal (Prachanda) has said Sher Bahadur Deuba was not appointed prime minister by the Supreme Court.

Chairperson of CPN (Maoist Centre) Pushpa Kamal Dahal (Prachanda) has said that Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba was not appointed the prime minister of the country by the Supreme Court but as per the constitutional provisions of Article 76 (5) of the Constitution of Nepal.

He added the Supreme Court had only interpreted the meaning of the concerned article of the constitution.

Dahal also vented his ire at former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, who is also the chairperson of CPN UML. He added that even with nearly two-thirds of the majority in the House of Representatives the House had been dissolved a couple of times for no genuine reason. Dahal added that if he had known earlier about such intentions then he would not have forged a unity with CPN UML in the first place.
