Parliamentary leader Pandey entrusted to form Bagmati govt

CPN (Unified Socialist) shall cooperate with parties affiliated with the alliance to form a new government in Bagmati Province. A parliamentary party meeting of the party held today has given the responsibility to parliamentary leader Rajendra Prasad Pandey to coordinate for the same, according to the CPN (Unified Socialist) parliamentary party. Similarly, the meeting also elected province assembly member and former minister Krishna Prasad Khanal as the Deputy-leader of the parliamentary party. Chief Minister Asta Laxmi Shakya had appointed Khanal as the Social Development Minister. However, Khanal had certified his name reaching the Election Commission saying he would choose the CPN (Unified Socialist), and then resigned from the post of Minister. Similarly, the meeting also unanimously elected Munu Sigdel as the chief whip of the party and Basundhara Humagain as a whip, said the newly appointed whip of Bagmati Province, Humagain. The first meeting of the parliamentary party held on Sunday had elected Rajendra Pandey as the parliamentary party leader.
