ANFA's 'Dream Project' Technical Center to be built in Kaski

It has been decided that ANFA Technical Center (Multi-Purpose Technical Center) will be constructed in Bhindabari, Machhapuchche Gaonpalika-6 of Kaski.

Though the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) had proposed the construction of a technical center in Bhindabari three and a half years ago, the locals are excited after the bids were called for the construction on Friday.

The center is being built for the first time in South Asia under the 'Technical Development' program of the International Football Federation (FIFA), the highest governing body of world football. As Soe Technical Center is FIFA's first program in Asia, producing players is said to be important for the development of football.

An investment of Rs. 170 million will be made in the first phase for the construction of the technical center, which ANFA has taken as a 'dream project'. Earlier, it was said that the investment would be Rs 850 million. FIFA will bear the entire cost of the project to be invested in the fourth phase.

According to him, it took time to complete the paperwork due to land acquisition, detailed project report (DPR) of the project and design, environmental impact assessment, corona epidemic, etc.

Project Chief Thapa said, "The technical center in Machhapuchche is ANFA's 'Dream Project'. Following the call for bids, there has been a "breakthrough" to move its construction forward. As per the Public Procurement Rules of the government, we will lay the foundation stone by concluding the contract after inviting bids and evaluation. The structure of the multi-purpose technical center will be constructed in 252 ropanis out of 452 ropanis of land of Bhindabari. ANFA has started the work after the village municipality arranged the land. Some of the locals have also provided their own land to the village municipality.

According to ANFA, the proposed project will include two training grounds, a main ground with a capacity of 5,000 spectators, two football fields, a futsal field, an artificial small field, a badminton court, a running field and a running water swimming pool. The building also includes four dormitory buildings for men and two women, two practice buildings, three guest houses, two executive housing buildings, two security guard houses, two security guard houses, a fireplace block, seven toilets, open food court, ticket counter and medical center. There are plans to build.

 Project Chief Thapa informed that ANFA plans to complete the project in four phases. In the first phase, it is mentioned that training ground, men's dormitory, practice block, executive and guest house, wall around it will be constructed.

In the second phase, main ground, administrative building, medical center, women's housing will be constructed and in the third phase, practice ground, training block, swimming pool and ticket counter will be constructed.

Work including futsal field, artificial mini pitch, badminton court, parapet, access road, track and field has been set aside for the final phase. It is said that there is a plan to build a stadium with a parapet if assistance is received from the Government of Nepal. In the technical center, football game will be taught and players will be produced by keeping teenagers of different age groups. In addition, there is a plan to conduct closed training of domestic and foreign national football teams.

Village Municipality Chairman Karna Bahadur Gurung said that the villagers were enthusiastic after the call for bids for the project. He mentioned that it is a matter of pride to be a training ground of international standard in the municipality. He said, "We have worked hard to start this project on time. We are excited by the news of the call for bids. It is believed that it will contribute to the development of football not only in Gandaki but also in the country. ”

The village municipality had embanked the river to control the river after requesting for embankment on Mardi and Idi rivers before inviting bids for the construction of the project. Local Jayalal Dawadi said that the locals were happy when a project of national and international importance was being built in his village. He urged the landowners to be respected and give priority to the locals including employment.

He said, "We, the locals, are excited about this project. In addition, the landowners who donate their land to the project should be respected. We are confident that this project will make a great contribution to the development of the region. ”
