A Sichuan Air flight coming to Kathmandu from China had to over-shoot while landing at Tribhuvan International Airport. It is said that the airplane had to hover in the sky for more than an hour.

Due to bad weather, the visibility of the airport was weakened and it had to overtake the aircraft during landing, the airport said. The ship, which was scheduled to land at 6:29 this morning, landed only at 7:51 a.m., according to the airport.

A senior airport official informed that the plane had to be overturned due to bad weather. "The plane has come to a normal approach, but due to bad weather, the runway has to be oversupplied for the next approach even if it misses the runway," he said.

The sky in Kathmandu Valley has been foggy since morning. The fog has also affected domestic flights in general. Flights to some destinations have been delayed. The flight to Pokhara was more affected by the continuous rain throughout the day along with the change of weather at the airport on Sunday. According to Buddha Air, some flights to Pokhara have been canceled due to low visibility. Similarly, flights were delayed at Biratnagar and Bharatpur airports due to visibility.
